Evening Sweep 2026

Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 7:00 pm

This is an opportunity for rowers of all ages with a range of abilities, but all with prior experience, to have an enjoyable coed recreational sweep experience while improving fitness and technical expertise.  Racing is not an expectation when rowing with this group but racing opportunities may exist. Practice lineups will include options for 8+s, 4+s, 4x’s, and 2x’s to maximize training. Coaches, with the intent of making each experience positive and informative, will determine all daily lineups.  Coach: Steve Hoverman

Participants must be members of United States Rowing Association (USRA) and UVRF. A swim test and SafeSport are required.

Summer –  Evening Sweep 

  • June 9-August 20 (11 weeks)
  • 2 practices/week: T/TH
  • Regatta options: TBD – additional regatta costs
  • Program fee: $315
  • Minimum Number of Participants per group: 14
  • Register for Summer Evening Sweep opens 4/1/26

Fall –  Evening Sweep

  • Sept 1 – Oct 8 (6 weeks)
  • 2 practices/week: T/TH
  • Regatta options: TBD – additional regatta costs
  • Program fee: $175
  • Minimum Number of Participants per group: 14
